How did you make the panel borders look like bamboo?

Surprisingly easy actually. On a separate layer, I just ran a paint brush with that brown color, then I just used a black stroke line along the edges.

Some time ago, I found an animated leaf brush that generates randomized vines. I run that on a layer above the bamboo and there you go
