This piece was a little different for me. I still did it all hand colored, except that the background on Gwenna's punch was a separate page I'd painted up and inserted in with photoshop. I also decided that since Gwenna is a redhead, it's likely she has at least some freckles, so I figured a few spots on her shoulder would make more sense, and do a good job of distinguishing our two naked combatants.
It didn't click before but all through Serpent goddess, Gwenna had black/dark auburn hair and while her hair was reddish on page 1 of ro-man, she doesn't have freckles on her shoulder, not that I mind... I'm being picky.
This is her final, official look, I'm not planning on making any further changes. Though by comparisson, her changes are pretty minor compared to how much the guys at Marvel changed the look of Spider Man's new girlfriend Carlie Cooper.
Yeah, I seem to remember Gwenna looked a little different, a little like Deena now. But I like her as redhead, red is a great color for a character. I like the freckles, but would prefer them mostly in the face :-) But that's just me…
