It's been a long time since Wimberley made his appearance. I'm wondering how is Kiana & their kid. Is it born already? Did they have a boy or a girl?

So, MacGuffin crossed the border, was picked up by the police, put in a cell and is now dead - while Kaza & Gwenna went up the creek er the river with a delay of 24 hours after the party where MacGuffin was making some deal with van Horne, so altogether that were... 2 days? 3 days? MacGuffin didn't look like a guy who would kill himself just like that to me, so, going with that, even though it's too early to know for sure, I rather believe that he got "helped" with that. And if that would be true... the next available suspect would be van Horne. Oh my, that's not good for Kaza & Gwenna.

(Just keeping my brain in function.)

Chronologically, it's a little over a day since the start of the story. MacGuffin was caught moving the diamonds across the border some time after the meeting at the Adventurer's Club. All the while, Kaza and Gwenna have spent about half a day traveling up the river in Captain Noranga's boat to get to Van Horn's plantation.

Thank you for explaining about the time.

I thought that Kaza & Gwenna spent more time on the boat. Hmm that means that MacGuffin's* life was one day shorter that I thought, he didn't even survive one day in the cell.
