We know that in the world of Kaza and Gwenna there is magic. I like to think that there is some sort of magical blessing that is conferred on a true protector of the jungle, which works better with fewer clothes. In boring mundane real life, clothes protect you from being scratched, from insects, etc.; but Gwenna finds that she's comfortable with none, and when she wears clothes the jungle rips them and inconveniences her... that's the peculiar nature of the jungle's blessing for its protectors. It works for Kaza and Gwenna, and it works for Nula as well (Lady Catherine Maxwell from "The Danger, the Diamond, and the Dowager" story that started in comic 54).
In comic 72, Nula muses that although she is naked in the jungle, she hadn't felt so alive in years.
But comic 115 is the one that really spells it out. Somehow the jungle ruins or steals Gwenna's clothes, and she's comfortable if she just does without. Proof of my theory!
Or that's how it works in my headcanon anyway.
P.S. In comic 53 we got a slightly different backstory for how Gwenna met Kaza, but the two could be pretty easily blended. She took an anthropology class in college and met Kaza, so she already knew him when she met him at the party!
